Overview

Remarq is designed to keep your report-writing work on your own computer. Remarq Software does not collect, store, or process the comments, templates, student names, or other content you create in the app.

The app makes network requests only for license activation, deactivation, and periodic license validation. Those requests send a hardware hash to Lemon Squeezy, our third-party commerce and licensing provider. Remarq Software does not operate licensing servers and does not receive or store license or hardware hash information.

Purchases

When you choose to buy a Remarq license, you are directed to Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy processes the information needed to complete your purchase, such as payment details, billing information, and license delivery. That information is handled by Lemon Squeezy under its own privacy policy and terms.

License Activation and Validation

When you activate a license, Remarq creates a hash of your device hardware information and sends it to Lemon Squeezy to lock the license to that physical device. The same hash is sent when you deactivate a license or when the app periodically checks that your license is still valid.

The hardware hash is not your raw hardware information. It is a derived identifier used only for licensing purposes. Lemon Squeezy processes the hash to activate, validate, and deactivate licenses under its own privacy policy.

Website Data

The Remarq website does not ask you to create an account and does not collect app content. Any information involved in a purchase is collected when you leave the site and complete checkout through Lemon Squeezy.

Support

If you contact us for support, we will receive the information you choose to include in your message, such as your email address and the details of your request. We use that information only to respond to you and help resolve the issue.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on our website and revise the version and date shown above. If a change is material, we will also notify you in the app or by email where practicable.
